Adult Education

2012 class in Adult Education.

Adult Sunday School Miracles Study will begin on Sunday, January 8th. A miracle is “an event…that apparently contradicts known scientific laws and is hence thought to be due to supernatural causes, especially to an act of God.”  (Webster’s New Twentieth Century Dictionary, Unabridged).  This winter, come to Sunday School to learn about the Miracles of Jesus as they are shared with us in the New Testament.  Together, let’s try to understand both the purpose of these astonishing stories of God’s power and how they apply to our lives and witness today. This class will meet in the Annex (classroom in the Front - First floor). Becky Wenger will be the teacher for this Bible Study.

You are invited to join us for “Keeping the Promise” adult Sunday school class, which will begin on Sunday, December 4th, 9:00a.m in Ed 3 & 4. (Teachers: Chris & Amy Jackson) In a world where promises are made to be broken, Dr. Kevin Leman offers a challenging look at the idea of marriage. A successful and satisfying marriage is every couple’s dream, but all too often, reality falls short of expectations. Dr. Leman, in a humorous yet poignant style, explores Biblical answers to the difficult issues we encounter living as one. Session Outlines: “The Original Designer Genes” (the differences of men and women); “God’s Design For Marriage” (a scriptural basis); “The Submission Mission” (understanding your mate) “What’s Wrong? … Nothing” (a look at communication); “Her Needs And His”; “How To Affair Proof Your Marriage”; “A Marriage That’s Great For Your Kids”; “Living In A Blender” (a prescription for living in a step family).
