Welcome Letter

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ.  We welcome you to our website and invite you to take a minute to get to know us.  For over two centuries The Presbyterian Church Shippensburg has been serving Jesus Christ in both the social and spiritual needs of the community of Shippensburg, PA.  We are a congregation within the Presbyterian denomination of ECO: A Covenant Order of Presbyterians, whose purpose is to witness in love the truth that Jesus Christ is Lord and the one true redeeming and healing presence in the world today.  We are a worshiping church that draws from our past, lives joyfully in the present, and journeys into the future with hope and assurance, giving praise, honor, and glory to God the Almighty.  We are a teaching church as we endeavor to equip one another to know the Christian faith and be faithful disciples of Jesus Christ.  And we are a praying church who seek out God by name, listen for His response, and offer ourselves to His service.  Through the presence of the Holy Spirit, Presbyterian Church Shippensburg is a loving and committed church family where God’s Word is preached, faith is grown, relationships are built, and Christ’s work continues.  Here we are drawn close to our Lord as together we walk the way with Jesus each day.  I invite you to walk with us and join in our ministry.
